Marshmallow Ghost Hot Chocolate Toppers
Ingredients:
- 12 large marshmallows
- 1/4 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
- Black food coloring or edible black marker
Instructions:
Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper first
In a bowl safe for the microwave, melt the white chocolate chips for 20 seconds at a time, stirring after each to ensure smoothness
Coat every marshmallow completely by dipping it into the melted white chocolate
After letting any extra chocolate fall off, put them on the baking sheet that has been prepared
Using a toothpick or a fine brush, create ghost faces on each marshmallow using the edible black marker or black food coloring while the white chocolate is still wet
Allow them to settle
In a different microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate chips in 20-second bursts, stirring after each burst until smooth
Melt the dark chocolate and use a toothpick or a fine brush to draw the mouth and eyes on each ghost marshmallow
Let them fully set
After the chocolate decorations are set, gently place each ghost marshmallow on top of a hot chocolate cup
Watch as the marshmallows melt and float on the surface, taking on eerie shapes
