Shredded Beef Crockpot Sandwiches
Shredded beef cooked in a savory sauce that is tender and full of flavor. Great for making tasty sandwiches in the crockpot. Today is a busy day This simple recipe will make a hearty meal ready for you when you get home.
Ingredients:
- 3 lbs beef chuck roast
- 1 onion, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 8 sandwich buns
- Sliced cheese optional
- Sliced pickles optional
Instructions:
Place beef chuck roast in the slow cooker
Add sliced onion and minced garlic on top of the roast
In a bowl, mix together beef broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, dried thyme, and black pepper
Pour the mixture over the beef in the slow cooker
Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-5 hours until beef is tender and easily shreds with a fork
Remove beef from slow cooker and shred using two forks
Return shredded beef to the slow cooker and mix with the juices
Toast sandwich buns if desired
Fill each bun with a generous portion of shredded beef
Optional: Add sliced cheese and pickles on top of the beef
Serve hot and enjoy
