Waffle Iron Cookies or Brownies
If you want to make cookies or brownies quickly, you can use your waffle iron as a multipurpose cooking tool. With this fun twist, you can bake anything
Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips optional
- Non-stick cooking spray
Instructions:
Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturers instructions and lightly grease it with non-stick cooking spray
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt
Add the melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients
Mix until you have a smooth batter
If desired, fold in the chocolate chips
Drop spoonfuls of the batter onto the preheated waffle iron
Close the lid and cook for 3-5 minutes, or until the cookies or brownies are set and slightly crispy
Carefully remove the cookies or brownies from the waffle iron using a spatula
Repeat the process with the remaining batter
