Espresso Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

Enjoy the rich flavors of espresso and chocolate in this smooth ice cream. Smooth espresso-infused cream and rich chocolate chips come together to make a delicious treat for both coffee and chocolate fans.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons instant espresso powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions:

In a medium saucepan, heat the heavy cream, whole milk, and granulated sugar over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar is dissolved

Remove from heat and stir in the instant espresso powder until completely dissolved

Stir in the vanilla extract

Transfer the mixture to a container, cover, and refrigerate until thoroughly chilled, preferably overnight

Once chilled, churn the mixture in an ice cream maker according to the manufacturers instructions

During the last few minutes of churning, add the chocolate chips and continue churning until evenly distributed

Transfer the ice cream to a freezer-safe container, cover, and freeze until firm, about 4 hours or overnight
