Fish Tacos
Ingredients:
- 4 fillets of white fish such as cod or tilapia
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup beer
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 teaspoon lime zest
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 8 small tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1 avocado, sliced
- Fresh cilantro leaves, for garnish
- Lime wedges, for serving
Instructions:
In a bowl, mix together flour, paprika, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper
Gradually whisk in beer until smooth batter forms
In another bowl, combine mayonnaise, Greek yogurt, lime juice, lime zest, chili powder, and cayenne pepper to make the sauce
Set aside
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat
Dip fish fillets into batter, allowing excess to drip off, and then carefully place into the hot oil
Cook fish for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through
Warm tortillas in a separate skillet or microwave
To assemble tacos, place a portion of shredded cabbage on each tortilla, followed by a piece of cooked fish
Top with avocado slices, drizzle with sauce, and garnish with cilantro leaves
Serve with lime wedges on the side
